| Wurlitzer's Princess is CES Innovations Award Winner
Displayed at the CES January Expo, the Princess is a scaled down version of Wurlitzer's famous Model 1015. It measures a little more than a yard stick high, by 22" wide and 17" deep. Though the small dimensions are ideal for a location with tight space, the Princess is a fully loaded jukebox. You just add your favorite speakers. The durable, walnut-finished cabinet contains a disk storage capacity of up to 120 disks, a 200-watt amplifier, coin mechanism and a dollar bill acceptor with 400-bill stacker. The Princess model replicates the 1015, from its rotating color cylinders to those famous percolating bubbles. Secure it to a pedestal or display it on a wall. Princess is designed to fit most wall-mounting brackets already existing in locations. "We designed and priced the Princess so that an operator has the nostalgic look many locations increasingly prefer, needs only a small space, and still provides an equipment payback period that is attractive," says a Wurlitzer spokesperson. "The soft benefit of the Princess is the resale value of the unit after several years of use on a route. Where do you find a 5-year old route piece, jukebox or otherwise, that will fetch a home market price of around 70% of what the operator originally paid for it". The January '98 Consumer Electronics Show is sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Manufacturers Association (CEMA). The four day expo, in Las Vegas, drew in excess of 100,000 visitors.
